What is Red & Near Infrared Light Therapy?

This science-backed treatment uses two wavelengths of light to support different layers of the body:

 

Red Light Therapy

Targets the surface of the skin to:

Near Infrared (NIR) Light Therapy

Things to Know

BEFORE YOUR SESSION​

  • Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment.

  • Your Infrared session will start at the allocated time slot. ​
     

DURING YOUR SESSION

  • During your session you will lay face up or face down (depending on which area you are wanting to target)  on a comfortable padded therapy bed with the full body red light panel positioned horizontally above you, allowing you to fully relax during your session.​

  • For best results for the face, no makeup is recommended.

WHAT TO WEAR

  • For an infrared light therapy session, it's recommended to wear minimal, light-colored, and breathable clothing, or no clothing at all, to maximize light exposure to the skin. 

  • Dark or shiny fabrics and tight-fitting clothing should be avoided, as they can interfere with light absorption. 

  • It’s a full body panel, that can be used on the face as well. It's above a table so you get to lay down and relax. Works best without clothes on so the light is directly on skin. Best for no makeup – clean face if using on face and also best to have no body oils or moisturisers on

What is Red & NIR Light Therapy?
A gentle, non-invasive treatment using safe wavelengths of light (660nm & 850nm) to boost cellular energy, reduce inflammation, and promote healing. Red light works on the skin’s surface, while NIR light penetrates deeper into muscles, joints, and tissues.

Is it safe?
Yes. It’s 100% safe, pain-free, and UV-free, so there’s no risk of tanning or skin damage.

What does it feel like?
You’ll feel a gentle warmth from the LED lights. Most people find it deeply relaxing.

How long is a session?
30 minutes. You can book it on its own or as an add-on to other therapies.

How many sessions will I need?
Some notice benefits after one session, but for best results we recommend 2–3 times per week.

What can it help with?
Muscle recovery, joint pain, skin rejuvenation, inflammation reduction, better sleep, and mood improvement.

Can I combine it with other treatments?
Yes — it pairs beautifully with floatation, spinal flow, or infrared sauna sessions.

Do I need to prepare?
No special prep is needed. Just wear comfortable clothing and stay hydrated.

It’s safe for most people, but not recommended if pregnant, light-sensitive, or with certain medical conditions. Check with your healthcare provider if unsure.
